Chasing a thankful five…
Today’s Friday five is all about giving thanks and love!
I thank God for all He has given me. There are days when I feel like I want more in my life but most of the time I am so grateful for everything He has provided.
I thank my husband for loving me through the good times and the bad. I can’t imagine my life without him. We know how to push each other’s buttons like no one else but at the end of the day I’m so thankful that we found each other. It’s been 11 years together and almost 9 years married. We started off so young and have been lucky enough to grow up together.
I thank my children for helping me to become a better mommy everyday. I have learned so much from my children about what is really important in life. It’s love. I am so thankful to have been blessed with 4 of the cutest, funniest, most loving children I have ever met. Even when they are giving me the stink eye I see so much of myself reflected in them. They are my purpose in life.
I am so thankful for my friends. They keep my sane when I feel like I’m losing it. They listen when I need to complain about something. They celebrate my accomplishments with me and they help me when I feel like I have fallen. I could not ask for a better group of friends.
Finally, I am thankful for my body. I have put my body through some hell over the past ten years. From my highest pregnancy weight to my lowest weight, it’s been a 100 pound swing. I’ve been blessed with 5 wonderful pregnancies (even though I bitch some days because it hurts and with each pregnancy it hurts more!) and 4 beautiful children with one little guy still growing. I’ve run 3 half marathons with legs that were less than perfect. But my amazing body did it all. There are people who would love to be able to do one of the things that I have done (okay maybe not my heaviest weight!) and can not or may never get the chance to experience what I have. I am so thankful that my body can do what it has done and I look forward to what it will do in the future (26.2 maybe?).
So what are you thankful for?
